Vintage Navajo Betty Yellowhorse Bracelet
This is a great vintage Navajo bracelet by Betty Yellowhorse that would make a nice addition to any Native American jewelry collection.
The 1871 U.S. seated liberty half dollar is the central feature of the design with gemstones set above the coin and at the ends of the cuff.
Directly above the coin is a pear shape spiny oyster shell cabochon and above that are two oval lapis lazuli cabs. On each side of the coin there is a bezel set turquoise cabochon.
The bracelet is constructed with three half round wires and at each end is a bezel set oval turquoise cab.
This bracelet is signed in three places with Betty Yellowhorse and a partial mark for Navajo. Betty's husband Louis D. McCabe who passed away in the 1990's was also an accomplished silversmith.
The top of the bracelet from the outside edge of the lapis cabs to the bottom of the coin is approximately 2 inches wide and at the ends 7/16 inch wide.
The diameter is 2 7/16 by 1 3/4 inches with a 1 inch opening for approximately a 6 1/2 inch circumference.
