Zuni Snake Dancer Bolo By Jonathan Beyuka
Jonathan Beyuka created this amazing Zuni snake dancer bolo in sterling silver with various colors of shell and stone inlay and finished off the black braided leather cord with sterling tips that finish with inlaid dangles.
Jonathan is a listed Zuni silversmith who has his work represented in The Museum Of Fine Arts Boston as well as the Kennedy Museum Of Art at the Ohio University.
The Kennedy Museum also has work by Jonathan's father Edward Beyuka who was a well respected artist as well.
Several sizes of the snake dancer were created with this being the larger size measuring 5 1/2 inches high by 2 15/16 inches wide.
This piece was designed with a bail on the back so it could be worn as a pendant and also features a tube at the base of one foot to use with a display stand which is not included with this piece.
