Antique Arts and Crafts Faux Opal Stickpin Riley & French
This antique stickpin in the arts and crafts style was designed in gold overlay with a prong set oval faux opal with amazing color flashes of red, blue and green.
The faux opal is surrounded with an open center frame that has a faux hammered finish giving it the familiar arts and crafts look that was so popular at the turn of the 20th century.
Arts and Crafts style jewelry from the turn of the 20th century is very hard to find today and very collectible.
The pin stem is signed R & F for the company of Riley and French of North Attleboro, Mass. which was in operation under this name from approximately 1904 to 1922 when the company was last listed.
The total length is 2 3/4 inches and the top is approximately 5/8 x 7/16 inch.
There are a couple of very tiny nicks in the faux opal as can be seen in the photos but very hard to see to the naked eye.
