Antique Tiffany Sterling Silver Pocket Watch Chain
This rare antique Tiffany and company sterling silver pocket watch chain with hand engraved belt clip is signed with the Union Square and Edward Moore hallmarks.
Tiffany and co. made a move to Union Square from Broadway in 1869 and Edward Moore was the director of the company until his death in 1891. This combination of hallmarks allows dating of this piece to within that time frame.
The full hallmarks are Tiffany & co, a script letter M in an oval, numbers 2780 and 1254, sterling and Union Square.
The total length of the belt clip and chain is 5 5/8 inches long with the clip measuring 2 7/16 inches by 3/4 inch.
Weight: 22 grams.
Please Note: As can be seen in the photos the end of the swivel that hooks to a pocket watch is missing.
This very hard to find piece of Tiffany history would make a great addition to any pocket watch or Tiffany collection.
