Antique Victorian Brooch Sash Pin With Green Stone And Flower Design
This is a stunning original antique Victorian era brooch known as a sash pin with one bezel set green stone in the center of a raised flower.
The border is decorated with what may be forget me not flowers and leaves with a stippled background.
Approximately 2 9/16 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide.
Sash pins were popular from around the late 1880's into the early 20th century and this one with its Art Nouveau style is from the 1890's to 1910 period.
Signed on the reverse on a raised oval plaque with beaded border C & R with the & sign on a raised cone shape that looks like a megaphone.
The metal is silver over brass.
