Vintage Hopi Sterling Silver Tie Tack Collar Pin Augustine Mowa Sr
This vintage Native American sterling silver tie tack or collar pin was created in the Hopi overlay style and measures approximately 19.7mm or 13/16 inch.
Part of the design is the wave design symbolizing water but I am not sure about the rest of the design.
Signed sterling and a triangle mark that may be for Augustine Mowa Sr. according to the online resource art-amerindien. Other resources show that this mark is the hallmark for Tim Mowa and is referred to as the Sun Mouth.
The clutch on the back is white metal.
I will include the faded black card that this came on that is pencil marked 99- which I assume is the original selling price.
