Vintage Mexican Sterling Margot De Taxco Enamel Dove Brooch
This vintage Mexican sterling silver double dove brooch was created with white and turquoise blue enamel.
Approximately 1 13/16 inches by 11/16 inch.
One of the most famous jewelry designers of the mid 20th century in Taxco, Mexico was Margot Van Voorhies Carr who was married to another top silversmith named Antonio Castillo for a short time before she opened her own studio.
This piece is signed by Margot along with her Eagle 16 mark. Also marked with a number that may be T868 or 1868 and was most likely the pattern number for this piece.
