Vintage Native American Coin Silver Button Cover Navajo Stamp Work
This vintage 1950's to 1960's coin silver button cover was made from an old silver coin and if you look at the photos you can still see the reeded edge from the original coin unlike the modern ones that are made from sheet silver.
This button cover which measures approximately 21.5 to 22.1mm in diameter was most likely made from a U.S. dime size coin.
The attachment on the back was glued in place so it would be easy to remove if you wanted to convert this great old piece into a pendant or other type of jewelry but as a button cover it would look great on the top button of a dress shirt or blouse.
Vintage Native American Indian jewelry is very collectible and since these pieces were handmade each one is unique.
